Zari was kind enough to lower down the difficulty to level 5 as I purchased the session as a gift to my friends who were newcomers to the game mostly. She took them into her hands and walked them through creating the characters they played in a 0 session. The words I can say about her will never equal up to how amazing she was to them that day. “The moment I stepped into Sham’s labyrinth, I knew I was in for an unpredictable, trickery-filled adventure. Playing as Tasslehoff Burrfoot—a Lightfoot Halfling Arcane Trickster Rogue with a love of shiny objects and scamming his way through danger—I was ready to scheme, sneak, and swindle my way through whatever nonsense Sham had in store.
And wow, did this session deliver.
This session was pure joy. Every moment was unpredictable, rewarding creative problem-solving, sheer audacity, and wacky hijinks.
From dodging spike pits with Mage Hand, to scarfing down reality-warping snacks, to turning a deadly boss fight into a full-on slapstick routine, it was everything I love in a game.
Tasslehoff thrived in this setting, using every scam, spell, and ridiculous maneuver to turn challenges into punchlines. And the DM? Fully leaned into the chaos, making every wild idea feel possible.
